Matt Walker, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Matt is the CEO and co-founder of Best Rank, Inc. At Best Rank, Matt's duties include helping to guide sales, product development, marketing, finance, and day-to-day business operations. Under Matt's leadership, Best Rank has experienced significant growth since inception and has seen its client retention percentages stay above 90%. Matt developed Best Rank's SEO methodology based on industry best practices and official search engine guidance. Best Rank employs its proven methodology not only on its site, but also on every client's site. The methodology has served as a repeatable and easily implementable process that can be applied to just about any website.
Matt holds an MBA in Marketing and Management from San Diego State University and a Bachelor's of Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Matt also sits on the Board of Directors for Resource Nation, Inc., an industry leading B2B lead generation company.
Matt proudly served in the US Air Force for nearly 10 years on Active Duty, both as an enlisted man and as an Officer. Matt's last assignment was as a Project Manager working on a missile defense satellite system where he managed a team of engineers from Boeing, Raytheon, and Northrop Grumman. Matt honorably separated from the Air Force in 2005 at the rank of Captain.
Matt is married to Shawna and has a daughter named Sadie. Matt is an avid traveler and has been all over the world on both business and pleasure. Matt enjoys playing golf, participating in team sports, brewing beer, and is a big Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fan.

Mike Shannon, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer
Mike Shannon is the CTO and co-founder of Best Rank, Inc. Mike is a technology entrepreneur specializing in web development and search marketing.
Holding a BS in Computer Science in addition to an MBA in Information Systems from San Diego State University, Mike helps align tech strategy with the organization's business goals, guides the company's organic search efforts, is responsible for developing new products/technology and leads the web development team.
Before starting Best Rank, Mike had been developing enterprise level websites and web applications since 2000. He began formal search engine optimization work in 2004.
In his free time, Mike enjoys snowboarding, blogging, running (he is a former college Track & Field All-American) and surfing.

Jason Brigham, VP of Sales and Operations
Jason’s responsibilities include leading the Best Rank Sales and Marketing team toward achievement of business goals. Mr. Brigham’s primary role is summarized as "growing the company;" to that end, he is focused on core deliverables such as building a professional and trusting relationship with clients, understanding the client's requirements, setting and manage client's expectations, increasing brand awareness, bringing in new customers, and coordinating public relations efforts.
Mr. Brigham holds a bachelors degree from the University of Vermont where he studied Computer Science. Mr. Brigham has over 7 years experience in Internet marketing and Development. His experience and professional knowledge of business to business as well as business to consumer marketing allows him the ability to provide our clients with both traditional and innovative marketing campaigns. Mr. Brigham has worked with companies including Jerome’s, Pat and Oscar’s, Coles Fine Flooring, Erchonia Medical, Nidek Inc., and many others.
In his spare time, Jason Brigham enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, cooking, and swimming.

Stephen Peron, Director of Search
Stephen Peron is the Director of Search at Best Rank, Inc. Stephen’s responsibilities include managing and implementing all Search Engine Marketing efforts including SEO & Paid Search.
Stephen has more than five years of Search Engine Marketing experience which includes organic search, link building, online reputation management, paid search, usability and social media.
Mr. Peron holds a bachelors degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing from San Diego State University. Over the past five years Stephen has held a wide array of positions focused on internet marketing ranging from in house SEO manager for a San Diego based hotel chain to Director of Search Engine Optimization at a formidable internet marketing agency. Peron prides himself on his passion to gain knowledge about all search engine and Internet marketing topics on a daily basis.
In his spare time, Stephen enjoys home brewing, running, saltwater fishing, and video games.

Colin C. Clingan, Director of Business Development (Phoenix metro)
Colin is the Director of Business Development for the Phoenix metro area. At Best Rank he is responsible for forging not only new, but also enduring client relationships where mutual respect, trust and integrity are foundational. He is tasked with conducting comprehensive diligence such that clients' requirements are well defined and the resultant service offering's effectiveness is readily and objectively measureable. As Best Rank continually expands its operations Colin's primary objective is to build upon the successes of the San Diego-based team by leveraging its competent leadership, expert skill-set and proven methodologies.
As a result of Colin's wealth of professional experiences, he brings leadership, analytical insight and client commitment to Best Rank. Over the past 12 years he has performed in a number of challenging capacities, including time as a US Air Force acquisitions officer, investment banker and most recently a client strategist for one of the world's preeminent asset management firms.
Colin graduated with military distinction from the United States Air Force Academy earning a Bachelor of Science in Management. His graduate degrees include an M.B.A. from UCLA Anderson and a Master of Science in Finance from London Business School.
A frustrated golfer, Colin is also passionate about family, fitness, politics and extraordinary examples of leadership in action.
Drew Thorne, Sales Manager
Drew Thorne is the Sales Manager at Best Rank, Inc. Drew works intimately with our current and prospective clients to ensure their online marketing efforts are effective in attaining the highest return on investment possible while branding themselves as authorities in their respective fields. You will find him in both our and our clients’ offices, planning and measuring the successful campaigns that Best Rank continually provides.
A graduate of the University of the Pacific (Stockton, CA), Drew holds a B.A. in Media Communication. His experience as an Internet Marketing Consultant gives him a rich knowledge of the web and the key components that businesses can utilize to see their profits grow.
Drew spends his free time enjoying the San Diego beaches and training in Muay-Thai kickboxing.
Zac Heisey, Senior Account Manager
Zac is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day SEO activities for his clients and ensuring that their campaigns remain on schedule. As the main contact point for his managed accounts, Zac works closely with each of his clients, providing an exceptional level of customer service while implementing Best Rank's proven optimization methods to achieve success for each campaign.
Zac earned his Bachelor's of Arts in Communication and a Minor in Public Relations from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, NE.
In his spare time, Zac enjoys surfing, exercising, and taking in the warm San Diego weather.

Guillermo Bravo, Senior Account Manager
Guillermo's responsibilities include carrying out the day-to-day SEO activities for his clients providing superb customer service, and building strong business relationships. He is Best Rank’s social media specialist, with over 2 years of successful social media campaigns. He also has experience in Adobe Flash and Web Design.
Guillermo graduated with a BS in Business Marketing from Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, CA.
Guillermo is a music enthusiast with heavy experience in music production and disc jockeying. He also is a former 1st team all league soccer player, with deep interest in anything fitness or health related. He enjoys learning about everything tech related including Mac OS X, web design, and of course the iPhone.

Ryan Frank, Project Manager
Ryan Frank is the project manager at Best Rank where he works closely with our sales team, account managers, and web development team. Ryan interfaces directly with clients and internal team members to manage projects from beginning to end. Ryan is able to complement our organization with his diverse knowledge of the Internet as well as his excellent problem solving abilities.
Ryan graduated with a BS in Business Entrepreneurship from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. He spent much of his academic career focusing on marketing and e-commerce to compliment his entrepreneurial concentration. Upon graduating, Ryan moved out to sunny San Diego to pursue his career in the Internet marketing industry.
In his spare time, Ryan enjoys traveling, live music, golfing, snowboarding, and a variety of other outdoor activities.

Amanda Thomas, SEO Analyst
Amanda is the SEO Analyst for Best Rank and is responsible for assisting the account managers with the daily submission of web content to third party sites. Her other responsibilities include the entry of data for business listings and press releases. She has an interest in web design and typography and is a word processing and desktop publishing aficionado.
Amanda is an ardent zoo visitor and loves to play tour guide for family and friends at Birch Aquarium, the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo’s Wild Animal Park. She loves animals and has a passion for pets, aquaria, spending time at the beach, and admiring the myriad of wildlife that San Diego has to offer. An amateur biology and photography enthusiast, Amanda loves to go hiking and camping with her fiancé.
Caitlin Self, Editorial Manager
As our Editorial Manager, Caitlin is responsible for editing, organizing and managing the content creation as well as the writers at Best Rank. She handles the day to day management of all articles for sites, blogs and SEO purposes. While not generally working directly with clients, she works closely with the account managers and SEO analyst to ensure proper and accurate content generation.
A graduate from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, Caitlin holds a Bachelor’s degree in English, with a minor in Sociology.
Caitlin spends her free time running in the beautiful weather of San Diego, enjoying fine food and drink, and checking out live music at a variety of Southern California’s great venues.
