Let me just say, it was a thrill to attend Blog World Expo 2010. With an endless amount of sessions and networking, it was great to be surrounded by such brilliant people. With an all-star cast of bloggers and marketers, I was looking forward to the monetization super panel for quite some time. I was not let down. I've listed an overview of my notes taken when attending the monetizing your blog session with speakers: Jeremy Schoemaker, Anita Campbell, Darren Rowse, John Chow.
Today marks the start of Blog World Expo 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada. I’m very excited that I will be attending this year. I’ll get a chance to learn about new trends and strategies in the online marketing industry, and meet bloggers that I follow regularly: Jonathan Volk, Jeremy Schomaker, John Chow, and many, many more.
Last night I attended the monthly San Diego Drupal Group meeting, a roughly two hour session targeted at drupal enthusiasts and companies looking to find solutions using drupal :) and must say that I enjoyed the gathering.
I just sat through a session here at SMX Advanced titled "SEO Ranking Factors for 2009", which was led by a couple of industry heavyweights: Rand Fishkin (CEO of SEOMoz), Laura Lippay (Director of Technical Marketing at Yahoo), Marty Weintraub (President of aimClear) and moderated by none other than Danny Sullivan.
Hello from SMX Advanced in Seattle. I traveled up here for the 'must-attend' SMX Advanced. I've only been to one session so far, but as expected the content was superb. There's already lots of buzz around here about social media and, of course, Twitter. I'll be posting regular updates through tomorrow evening that will include session specific topics and general thoughts.
Any good business owner carefully monitors all company expenses. Business owners must make decisions on a daily basis of whether or not to "invest" (aka purchase) stuff for the business. This "stuff" can range from simple office supplies to marketing and all the way to sending staff to industry conferences.
I just attended a very interesting session at Search Engine Strategies (SES) San Jose titled: Universal & Blended Vertical Search. The panel of speakers included representatives from Google, Yahoo, and Ask.com. These three reps gave us a great deal of insight into their respective company's theory on universal search and what they envision for the future.
I attended my very first Search Engine Strategies (SES) conference last week in NYC. I learned a ton, not only about search strategies, but also about how not to act at one of these events. I spent the first 3 days trying to meet people in hopes of being invited to one of these famous after hours drinking functions that everyone raved about in the chat forums. After day 2, I still hadn't received an invite to any social functions; I was at a loss.
